Indestructible by All Forces
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः॥
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ
Translation
The soul can never be cut by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.
Meaning
Krishna enumerates the four ancient forces — blade, fire, water, wind — and declares the soul beyond every one of them. The soul is not made of anything physical, so no physical force can touch it. Your true self is absolutely safe.
