Equanimity in Action

योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय। सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते॥
yoga-sthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā dhanañjaya siddhy-asiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṁ yoga ucyate
Translation

Be steadfast in yoga, O Arjuna. Perform your duty and abandon all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity of mind is called yoga.

Meaning

Krishna defines yoga itself in this verse — not as a posture or ritual, but as a state of mind. To remain undisturbed by success and failure while doing one's duty is yoga. This is the practical instruction that follows 2.47: do the action, release the result, stay balanced.
